Aftermarket gpu cooler(7870XT)

So quickly i have realized the double d xfx cooler is a pile of dog sh** so i wanna get  an aftermarket cooler for it however as no one knows about it then im worried that no companies make a cooler for it. No watercooling pls.

I don't think theres anything you can do for it being that it's not a high end card not much stuff was done for it.

I'm using that one currently on my 7950, and under load I never go above 60C and it is extremely quiet. Even at 100% fan speed it doesn't surpass the loudness of my case fan, which in itself is pretty quiet/

 

The installation process takes around 6 hours; but it's pretty easy. You can look up an installation guide, there are also a few YouTube videos showing the installation.

the 7870 xt was a limited card that lost support when the price of the 7950 went down.

your card is a normal 7870 non xt, but arctic probably has the best value oriented (if there is such a thing for aftermarket gpu blocks) just check the listed compatibility.

yes sure because 7870 uses a tahiti le chip, sorry but you are wrong, its a real XT. It even says it has 1536stream processors which is only with the XT cards, a normal 7870 has 1200 stream processors.

I think Artic Accelero Extreme is the one to get, better if you can remove the cooling and snap a picture of your card PCB.

uh your wrong, the only manufacturers that even made Tahiti le chips were sapphire and powercolor, can you please provide some proof? The only way i see this being possible is if someone stuck a xfx hsf shroud onto a sapphire/powercolor card (assuming it would be able to mount correctly, but tahiti chips are rotated 45 degrees anyway).

Been there, XFX did make Tahiti LE and exclusive for aria.co.uk.
