[Q] Anyone had experience with Silverstone SST-ARM11BC Monitor Arm

rhodestech

Hi everyone,

I'm considering buying this Monitor Arm and running it with a 40" 4k TV (ideally <9kg).

What are your thoughts on the Monitor Arm/ my intended configuration.

Matt

Should be good, silverstone are a great brand, and the stand is rated for max 10kg, a 40" TV is pushing it, but sould be supported (make sure your desk is good quality as thats a lot of weight to clamp to it)

Desktop - Corsair 300r i7 4770k H100i MSI 780ti 16GB Vengeance Pro 2400mhz Crucial MX100 512gb Samsung Evo 250gb 2 TB WD Green, AOC Q2770PQU 1440p 27" monitor Laptop Clevo W110er - 11.6" 768p, i5 3230m, 650m GT 2gb, OCZ vertex 4 256gb,  4gb ram, Server: Fractal Define Mini, MSI Z78-G43, Intel G3220, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, 4x 3tb WD Reds in Raid 10, Phone Oppo Reno 10x 256gb , Camera Sony A7iii

Ive never used it or even knew silverstone had a arm mount, but silverstone products are great so as long as your tv/monitor is within spec (weight most likely) then it should be fine

Yeah, from what I've seen on the web, some people have ran 40" TVs on Monitor Arms in general. All came down to the weight limit.

Should be fine. You'll have to get an adapter plate of some sort though, as your TV will have a VESA 200 mount which will not fit on the arms mounting plate

Molex to SATA, lose all your data

Yeah that's the plan! Forgot to include that before.

Then you will be fine. The arm supports up to 10Kg according to Silverstone. I'm not doing the maths now, but portrait mode might not work if the tv is too wide. Linus did a video on the dual arm version of that monitor arm if you're interested.
