i dont need shadowplay because i just got fraps and bandicam but all in a day work is the gtx 970 good for this 650?

Yeah, you shouldn't need more than that. Still, since you don't need CUDA, you should buy an R9 390 from Sapphire or MSI. Unless you've already bought it.

650w is good. You won't be doing SLI/X-fire with it, but it's good for your parts.
