Change DNS. I doubt your ISP blocked certain sites but could also happen.

Watch that video.

If it fixes your issue, mark the thread as: "solved"

i might do that when i get home, first though i'm going to call ISP and ask some stuff, i really dont want to tampere with that.(i think it might increase ping in games and that is not what i want)

Jeez.

Are you afraid of upgrading your internet?

It will not increase ping.... More than likely, it will decrease it.

Just out of curiosity... run:

tracert google.com

Edit: No, don't post it, I'm just sleepy and an idiot ;]

See whether the probe gets to where you're sending it and whether it doesn't just stop on your router IP.

When you'll be at the PC where the problem occurs:

Go into the command line : Start->type 'cmd' in the run box or if newer windows version start and simply start typing 'cmd'. If on linux - refer to the distros manpages as to what tools you have at your disposal.

When in the command line type what i wrote, it should print out the packet path from your PC to the destination host. If it won't get to where you wanted - see what the last entry was - that's where the problem MAY be.

There's a nice article on howtogeek about it.

Think of it this way...

You sit at home and want to send a letter to somebody say... in Moscow.
You write the letter and put it in the mailbox.
Now, the mailman you have does not know how to get to Moscow. So he goes to the nearest post office and deposits your letter there.
At the post office, the letter is given to a sorter who doesnt know how to get to Moscow too, but he heard somebody in Berlin knew - so he directs your letter there.
The proces continues accros various towns and eventually, the letter gets delivered.

So what if somwhere between berlin and moscow there is a road block, the soldiers there chceck the letters and if they are going to moscow - they confiscate them?
Or a bridge is out and the mailman is lazy and just gives up?
Or YOU have been marked as a dangerous individual who could send bombs to people?
Your letter never got delivered...

So the same situation but with VPN would be: you send the letter not to Moscow but to say... London. There, the recipient (your VPN provider) opens it and sees that there is another letter inside - the one that should go to Moscow - so he sends it there but with a different sender (the VPNs addres) and through a different route - this time through Stockholm or something.

Anyway, if your ISP is handling the case - good : ), glad to hear that.
