Use a program-cant remember the name-to make the fan change speed according to your CPU Diode temperature, you put in the temp to start ramping up the fans(say 55C) and the MAX Fan speed where it reaches that temp and runs the fan at full, worked brilliantly on my MBA Late 2010

i think fans are made to spin?

you are just making them spin at the rated speed

they are made to run at rated speed

not for the entire time its on tho

It's cuz macbook pros suck. I have one and it can get really hot watching youtube if I'm doing it on my lap (a non solid surface). Are you using it on a tabletop or countertop? It should run a lot cooler on one versus a lap or a couch.

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.
