I'm don't know anything about computers nd stuff like that. My friend does though, and so the other day i messaged my friend if he could tell me a good computer that would be able to do video rendering, and play a few games like gta, skyrim, etc. This is what he sent me:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Bfg96h

Now he guaranteed me that this would be able to run any game at max settings, and that i would be able to do any video and photo work. Like i said i don't know anything. So here's the question. Is it good?

no first off it cant run those games at max settings, and it would need another few hundred bucks to be able to do that. However it will run games great at 720p and will be able to play some games decent at 1080p

<p>Wish I could have this already!! : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qTLRjX

Yeah that's not even close. And while this won't either, it'll still do pretty good

What is the budget?

That gpu is quite old now, and you can get far better for less money.

My laptop is faster than that setup, and I can only max settings at 900p

I never said it would max out all games at 1080p, I said it was much better for less.

Oh no, I know. You can't max a game like GTA at 1080p on a $500 budget and still have acceptable framerates

No but at medium settings on the 950 at 1080p you should reach upper 50's at the very least.

Oh yeah definitely. I don't quite remember the benchmark numbers but that sounds reasonable

source 210 and r7 370 :P

The 950 typically outperforms the 370.

AM3+ is a bad idea for three reasons- dead platform, no good upgrade path, gonna bottleneck better parts.

Budget would probably be like 1600$. I hope thats enough for a decent computer.

Does that include monitor keyboard and mouse?

If it's just the PC than I would go with:

If you need a monitor keyboard and mouse I'd do:

I have a 960 and at max on GTA 5 I get about 40FPS so a cut down 960 running at medium settings should get about 50-60fps.

That's more than enough. The $500 build you have right there will not cut it though...

alright thanks

You'll have 6 cores, 12 threads, 16GB's of RAM, an SSD & HDD, as well as a GPU to help with rendering as well as gaming.
