Hi,

I have a a decent prebuilt that I will be using for another a year and a half, but I want to learn to build one myself. I'm a little nervous about spending a lot of money on something I might break so I was thinking of getting a cheap DIY build from Newegg.ca for < $350. Here is the one I was looking at.... http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2144914 The computer won't really be used for much, except for tinkering with.

So is that was a good way to learn to build a PC?

Thanks in advance.

You could get a used core2duo. It will be cheaper and a little better with quad cores. Maybe a Q6600 or something with whatever mobo and stuff with a new psu and cheap gpu

Just because you don't care, doesn't mean other others don't. Don't be a self-centered asshole. -Thank You a PSA from the people who do not say random shit on the internet.

I think the best way to learn to build a computer is just building one. It's super easy, and there's lots of in-depth tutorials on YouTube if you need help.

If you really want to buy and build that computer, it's pretty cheap.. Go ahead. You could also try building a HTPC for that cheap.
