Build Compadibilty and suggestions

Go to solution Solved by Darth-Marius,

So the r9 390 is better or cheaper? Is that the 8gb one i have heard of? sorry dont keep up enough in gpu news aha

the r9 390 is better and costs about the same, and yes, you can get a 8gb r9 390 for around the price of a gtx 970

Hey guys,

I have most of a plan already laid out but would like to check it and see if you have any suggestions to make it better and run your eyes over the compatibility of the build components.

Budget and Location:

Willing to spend around 1200 Australian Dollars and as you can tell from that i am from australia. 1200 AU is around 1100 in canada and idk like 900 in US.

Aim:

To get as much gaming as i can out of it without needed to overclock because the guy that is going to be using it isnt all that tech savoy. It will be running games like ARMA 3, CS Go, battlefront 3 and maybe bit of crysis 3? but yeah all 1080 gaming hoping to get 60 frames a second on decent quality.

Monitors:

Currently he has 1 monitor that is 1080p nothing special

Peripherals:

Thats up to him for personal preference i guess

Why the upgrade:

Well he currently plays off a outdated laptop and it cant run modern games so he would like to change that.

I am looking to build a entry level gaming computer and have compiled a list of components for said build. First of all i was wondering if my list of parts is Compatible with each other, which i believe they are and secondly any suggestions to make it better?

MSI B85M-E45 Motherboard $100

EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB SC GAMING ACX $350

Intel Core i5-4590 BX80646I54590 Processor (6M Cache, 3.3 GHz) $200

Kingston HyperX Fury HX318C10FK2/16 16GB (2x8GB) Blue $150

Samsung 850 EVO Series 250GB 2.5in SSD $145

CoolerMaster B2 Series 600W Power Supply $90

Thermaltake Chaser A41 Black Tower $130

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler $55

And will my cooler be adiquit or should i get something beefier? I am not looking to overclock thats why i have the i5 4590 not the i5 4590k.

Thanks

this is pretty much the same build but in Australian dollars , you don't need to worry about cooler the cpu comes with one!

this is my gaming build (will build soon haven't got all the parts yet) it's around 1100$ in canada so check it out mine includes a monitor so yours will be cheaper then 1100$
