It's still better than the 960 regardless, the 960 can't even utilize above 2GB of VRAM.

- CPU: Intel i7 3770 - GPU: MSI R9 390 - RAM: 16GB of DDR3 - SSD: Crucial BX100 - HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB -

What do you mean can't utilize VRAM?

It's has a 128 bit memory bus, meaning it can't use more than 2GB/s of VRAM at once, making the other 2GB of VRAM paper weights.

If you only have 1 second, right?

Spoiler

Q: Do I have a virus?!
A: If you didn't click a sketchy email, haven't left your computer physically open to attack, haven't downloaded anything sketchy/free, know that your software hasn't been exploited in a new hack, then the answer is: probably not.

Q: What email/VPN should I use?
A: Proton mail and VPN are the best for email and VPNs respectively. (They're free in a good way)

Q: How can I stay anonymous on the (deep/dark) webzz???....

A: By learning how to de-anonymize everyone else; if you can do that, then you know what to do for yourself.

Q: What Linux distro is best for x y z?

A: Lubuntu for things with little processing power, Ubuntu for normal PCs, and if you need to do anything else then it's best if you do the research yourself.

Q: Why is my Linux giving me x y z error?

A: Have you not googled it? Are you sure StackOverflow doesn't have an answer? Does the error tell you what's wrong? If the answer is no to all of those, message me.

the simple answer is if the R9 380 can play the games you want, then go for it. There is such a staggering amount of GPU snobbism here its scary. the 960, R9 380 etc are all great cards and can do way more than the unsupported opinions here will lead you to believe.

If the 380 fits your budget and is available, go for it

But the GTX 960 2GB has only 2GB of VRAM so it's only okay for a 128 bit bus. But for the GTX 960 4GB, the half of the memory cannot be used?

Correct, this won't happen on the 2GB model, but on the 4GB model only half of the VRAM would be useable.

Funny because there's news that NVIDIA will ditch out the GTX 960 2GB models so only the 4GB models can be bought.

Pretty fuckin stupid unless they change the bus.
