So I'm looking into getting my own website and I'd like some input from you guys.

I need a cheap service like squarespace that will allow for good SEO, an uncomplicated URL and overall ease of use. Is squarespace my best bet? Or are there better options? I'm particularly interested in good search engine optimization.

Any suggestions/experiences?

Something along the lines of an artist's portfolio. Hard to explain, but the content-forward approach of squarespace does look good to me.

Squarespace might be your best bet then. If you need more help specifically with squarespace PM me

Yeah, I would go with squarespace. Other option is to buy your own host and host a wordpress site, but that costs more than wordpress.

I actually do know HTML and CSS on my own webhost, but I have yet to actually get my website done because I keep wanting to change the design...instead of actually getting the content on the site and actually finishing it...

How's SEO? I'm not a complete idiot so I don't need it to be 100% "your granny could do it"-easy, but ease of use is obviously a benefit.

Well, Yolasite Is easy to use and It's free. If you want your site to look more professional however Id recommend adding a subscription to your Yolasite account :)

Learn HTML code and after 5 years you might get yourself a "Hello world!" page  :P

I started my education as software developer about 4 weeks ago and I can already make a legit page :P
