Use your recovery media that was provided with laptop. Its most likely update gone wrong. Restoring previous version (one before latest update) will fix that. Worst thing that can happen is corrupted OS which means you need external solution to backup and then reinstall OS.

guy please i was using my laptop and it hung up so i forced shut down .. and then when i turn it on again it said cannot find boot media what do I do. .

i have tried this(removing battery and pressing power for sometime. .) no luck

either your boot block is corrupted...which is fixable...or the hdd died..

I would personally boot up a linux boot disc...save what you need to first...then start figuring out the problem
