Hey guys I am deciding between a 980 or 980 ti. I mainly CsGo and Tf2 at 1440 at 144hz. Was wondering if a 980 would be able to run them both.

Yeah, you'll have no problem with the 980. The 980ti is kinda overkill but if you can afford it then why not?

A 750ti will do good for those games..

But for the question itself a 980 will be more than enough for you.

 

If you want to play other AAA titles in the near future get the 980Ti for best 1440p performance.

An R9-380 (or less even) could run them. These games are not graphically intense, even at higher resolutions. No need to spend so much money on cards for these games.

Those games can run on a toaster, Im pretty sure you can save some money with a r9 290/390 or 970 and still get around 144 fps.

Yes those games run easy but next year valve is using a new source engine for source games which means that it will be around twice as demanding as before

Just go for the 980Ti and you can play any Game in 1440p without even think about performances problems.

Iv got sli 980tis and I struggle in some games to get 144hz

One 980ti will get u in the 80s for most aaa games and if u drop a few settings from ultra to high ul be in the 100's
