Build a quadcopter :P

I followed this: http://www.readytoflyquads.com/know-how-250-kit

It's over multiple episodes but I managed it, only thing I changed was I used a CC3D flight controller, because it uses software called open pilot GCS which is basically a wizard for setting it up.

You could perhaps sell it off to someone you know or re-purpose it in a machine for a family relative?

No-one would buy it, they all have like £200 PC's and don't care about high end ones (CONSOLE PEASANTS) and non of my family need new pc's as they're all new laptops and don't favor desktops due to limited space.

Darn first world problems. Haha. Anyways, I'm out of ideas to be honest,

Hey there, this Christmas I'm getting a large amount of money from both of my parents (it happens every 3 Years) and I'm deciding to redo all my monitors which isn't the problem in this topic. What I want help with is what to spend £500 on. Basically I will have around £500 left and I don't want to leave it in my account, because I know I will spend it on like CS:GO or something, so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of what to use it for.

Buy a RC car :D

I'd upgrade that CPU & Mobo combo of yours before anything.

I'm perfectly fine with my PC, I have no issues with it, just its loud, which I already mentioned I will be solving

I have been considering water cooling my 290x using the NZXT Kraken thing

Very good idea. I used it to cool the top 780ti in my rig as it was being suffocated. Went from 90C to 45C. I'm using an NZXT 140 something to cool it.

My posts are in a constant state of editing :)

CPU: i7-4790k @ 4.7Ghz MOBO: ASUS ROG Maximums VII Hero  GPU: Asus GTX 780ti Directcu ii SLI RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance PSU: Corsair AX860 Case: Corsair 450D Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB, WD Black 1TB Cooling: Corsair H100i with Noctua fans Monitor: ASUS ROG Swift

laptop

Some ASUS model. Has a GT 550M, i7-2630QM, 4GB or ram and a WD Black SSD/HDD drive. MacBook Pro 13" base model
Apple stuff from over the years
iPhone 5 64GB, iPad air 128GB, iPod Touch 32GB 3rd Gen and an iPod nano 4GB 3rd Gen. Both the touch and nano are working perfectly as far as I can tell :)
