X-Wings i presume you mean.

 

Tie-fighters are the H- shaped ships, and Tie-Interceptors are the X shaped tie-fighters.

 

A Wings are the wedged shaped red ships, and Y wings are the grey and yellow Y shaped ships.

Additionally there are Star Destroyers, Mon Calamari star cruisers, and Nebulon-B frigates hanging in low orbit as skybox scenery. Did you mean one of those?

 

All of which are long-established Star Wars designs, regardless.

Snow speeders are pretty hard to explain in simple terms. They're like A-wings, in that they're wedges, but they are grey, and have a gun on the back, and do the little wire around the legs of at-at thing.

 

There, we're talking kindergarten levels of simplicity.

Check out the original trilogy of SW episodes 4,5,6. You might be able to rent the original unedited ones (pre 1997 re-release) through Netflix.
