why is my power strip having coil whine?

Is a power strip or a ups, because a standard power strip doesn't have an inductor in it. (which is the cause of coil whine)

Well then the inductor that is acting a current regulator is resonating with other components of the strip and there isn't much you can do about it as inductor whine is unavoidable in some cases.
