Integrated Graphics for Folding?

Is it possible to fold on integrated graphics since my i5-2500ks isn't doing anything anyways? I know it won't be very fast but it would at least be doing something

Probably, but my CPU I need for actual work, since I have never used the integrated gpu and will never use it I want to know if it can be used for something

It's possible, but I don't think you could use integrated graphics and your gpu.

just put a computer together and download the program and go!!!

It's possible, but I don't think you could use integrated graphics and your gpu.

You can plug in a screen to your integrated graphics and another into the GPU, and each screen will get exactly the 3D performance you would expect, so I don't see why you couldn't use both at the same time in a different way

 

(note: this is assuming at least an H or Z chipset - i.e. no B - if I recall correctly)

I do it... Its much slower than a discrete GPU. But give it time and it will give you some points!
