Looks good, although the Hyper 212 EVO is a far superior air cooler at just a few bucks over the T4.

Could have gone with some mass storage instead of the second SSD, but everyone has different needs to address.

Not taking advantage of dual channel operation on the RAM side of things. You could always buy a second stick of the same ram, but that wouldn't be the same as a set rated to run in dual-channel, and it might just end up running in single channel.

Overall it looks pretty good. Platinum may be a bit overkill but it will work. If you want to save some money you can bump it down to gold.

I agree with him 212 evo is just a few more dollars. dual channel RAM is not a must though.

There's a good point. Unless you want to do some seriously CPU-intense work and are going to overclock that 4690k, the i5 4460 will hold down the fort for pretty much anything and would have let you put more money towards the graphics card- the most important component of a gaming pc. However, having a slightly better processor makes for a more well-rounded machine for tasks outside of gaming- namely video editing, rendering, streaming, and the likes.

Also, even though the coolers on both your CPU and GPU are decent, it's probably worth noting that this thing will be a jet engine under load, especially if you overclock that 4690k, which you should if you've bought it and a cooler. Those masscool fans aren't famous for being the most quiet, and since your build is still air-cooled, they're going to ramp way up- which will be loud with four in the case. Still, that bothers me a lot more than it bothers other people, and ergo, might not bother you as much.

that... that was beautiful

also yeah, for OCing that CPU, 212 EVO does well, or a closed loop liquid cooler for $40 more

also, for an extra $50 Skylake + DDR4

I with I could get the Hyper 212 EVO but it will not fit in my case.

As for the SSD, I have a 3 TB external hard drive that I will use to back up my 2 SSDs in Raid 0

Well the problem is that right know my monitor is a 720p Samsung flat screen TV. However, all the parts that I have out in have the potental to support a R9 390 or above so at some point I plan on upgrading my graphics card and visual display all in one pop.

Getting two SSDs might be overdoing it, but getting one goes a long way, especially since hard disk drives prices are dropping about twice as fast as other computer components. It won't be long before a WD 1TB 7200RPM drive is around $35.
