Hey guys I'm going to get a new computer and I'm standing between these two builds. Which of the two would you prefer, and is there anything you would swap out in the build you prefer of these two? Both builds I've found on youtube. My budget is around $1000 and I already have a screen and all the other peripherals. The computer will be used for gaming Diablo3 and WoW :)

1st. --> 6th Gen CPU, Skylake but with R9 GPU

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/b8GZTW

2nd. Older CPU but with GTX 970 GPU

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Lspct6

Also, how do I chose a PC Case that fits the motherboard I'm gonna use?

Thank you so much in advance !

Cheers

It's better if you give us your budget, location (which country), what do you need (monitor? keyboard? OS? does it included in the budget?) and what are you using the system for.

As for those 2 build, I like the 970 more. Though I think you can fit 6600 in with a 970 within a 1000$ budget

The 6600K is barely better than the 4690K, this build also features a better PSU and a better video card.

EDIT: since you don't play intensive games the R9 390 will be a waste of money, go with something like this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-100384nt4gocl

Thanks alot for your build suggestion it looks good! But isnt the G 970 better than the R9?

Also - The link you attached in the edit, doesnt work

In reality the 290 and 970 perform quite the same, though when it come to software support and stuff Nvidia is much better, so I've always prefer Nvidia more.

For D3 and WOW, you wont notice any different between those 2 card

This, also change the r9 390 to the powercolor/msi/sapphire one, since the gigabyte is voltage/bios locked

and get Antec HGM 850w (better wuality psu), it is on the cheap for now (70usd)

The site has changed....

The 390 performs the same as the 970 at 1080p but at higher resolutions it pulls ahead. Also it's cheaper in most regions :D

thanks alot guys !! :D

But i just dont ünderstand how the R9 can outperform the 970 when I'm looking at stuff like

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp[]=2697&cmp[]=2719&cmp[]=2954

But ive also been looking at benchmarks on youtube comparing the two GPU's, and the R9 really does pull ahead of the 970. So the videocardbenchmark i linked to must be off...

Pick that first build of yours just slap a better SSD in there i mean a 250gb one would be great instead of 1 OS a bunch of programs & BOOM full...

Maybe try & get a 290X for arround 240-250USD second handed with or without warranty but who uses warranty anyway
