AEROCOOL RAVE 500W 80+ still good?

bexmxe

someone told me it's a poor quality psu.. but is it still good? I'm not overclocking or doing high load.. I'll use it in 970a-ds3p, fx-8320 and gtx 750 Ti..

would the psu good for more than a year?

If it works, then chances are it will continue working, PSU failures are still relatively rare

Well for starters, 500W is way more than enough for a 750Ti, so you should have a fairly large headroom there. It should be fine as long as you dont push the limits.

I know this thread is very old, but this is possibly one of the stupidest comments I've ever heard from anybody that was supposedly knowledgeable regarding PC hardware. Power supply failures are not only not rare, they are pretty common. Even in 2015 they were. Just in case some poor schmuck happens to see this and unknowingly takes that advice as being accurate. Consider the misinformation corrected.
