PSU Query

Hey folks,

 

So, I currently have a CMPSU-HX850 (Original silver rated Corsair HX850 from 2009) and I've just ordered a second GTX 780 for SLI until Pascal is released. Unfortunately after all these years I've misplaced the modular PCI-E cables. 

 

I just wanted to check that http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/type-3-sleeved-black-pci-e-cable are the correct replacement cables for this PSU (being that is is not the Gold rated HX850)?

 

Or do you guys think that with the aging on this PSU I should purchase a new one instead, I'm unsure how much aging would affect this PSU but it has been in almost constant use for the past 6 years.

That's still a good PSU even with it's age it's a quality unit only thing is I'm not sure if the new HX series nowadays use the same pinout for the PCI-E connectors as they did before so contact Corsair is probbaly your best bet to know for sure.

Thanks for the reply. Just to be on the safe side I've ordered a HX850i just so that I have a warranty again.
