Missing pcie connector?

Go to solution Solved by SteveGrabowski0,

http://imgur.com/jcxLWpp there is my first 970 all plugged in but how am I supposed to plug in my other one?

With the PCIE cables that came with your power supply, not the PCIE to molex crap that came with your GPUs. Take those PCIE to molex connectors, unplug them, and burn them.

This video shows how you need to install your GPUs.

http://m.imgur.com/2AhoxUb I bought a second 970 but the spare cables I have only have 3 connectors to plug the molex plugs into. Where can I purchase one with 4 so I can actually use my second gpu?

its a dual molex to 6 pin? its normal that there is 3 pin, the 4th one is not used ^^

Your Power Supply should have come with PCI-E cables to power your GPUs. These cables plug into your PSU, and the other end into your GPU. According to the parts list, you have 4 PCI-E connectors, which you'll be able to use for SLi.

I'm confused? Don't I need 4 connectors for just 1 gpu?

Two per GPU.

The connectors at the bottom-right of the image is for PCI-E, and will allow you to power your GPUs properly. These connectors are used for the GPUs.

I already used the 4 connectors on just 1 gpu to plug in all the cables, how do I get my other 970 all plugged in with no other pcie cable remaining

It's a supernova G2 750w lol

An EVGA 750 G2 comes with all the PCI-E cable in the included cable bag for two GPU's look in there first to use those to connect the unit. We don't recommend the molex connections since they tend to have issues if too much current is drawn through them.

The GTX 970 should only be using two of them. The connector goes into the PSU, and then into the card. How have you managed to use four?

Why would you use Molex adapters to PCI-E power...

Your PSU the EVGA 750 G2 comes with PCI-E power cables with it....use it!

I thought you had to use molex cables because mine were included in my 970 box for both?

No those are included as a just incase thing or back in the day but they aren't really used anymore theses days. Using your cables that came from your PSU are your best option.

The cables used are the PCI-E or I think EVGA labels them VGA. they come with a 6+2pin so you can separate the +2pin for 6 pin and 8 pin for those cards.
