so i got the new board in and its fixed my problem thankfully :) im definetly gonna stick with asus boards from now on so my next question is everything seems to be working fine how will i know if i need to reinstall windows or not?

You should automatically be reinstalling Windows if you change hardware, period.  I can NEVER recommend someone to change hardware and not reinstall Windows.
