H440 loud?

Go to solution Solved by TheSLSAMG,

If it is the same fan controller as the Noctis 450, there is a PWM lead coming off of it. Plug it into a fan header on your motherboard and set the speed in the BIOS. The fans in my case are dead silent, and they're the same fans.

Hey guys. I have just finished my new PC build EVER! - WUHU

With that being said i think the h440 is louder then expected. Im not sure if i have done something wrong, or it's just how loud it is, here comes mu specs:

Intel i7 4790k

Corsair h110i GT

Asus MAXIMUS VII Ranger

Samsung PRO 840 - 256 gb

MSI R9 390 - 8GB

Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB

Corsair MX750 PSU

NZXT h440

Okay, so you got the specs, and I got the fans on the Radiator turned down to 800 RPM. Whenever i disconnects the intake and the exhaust fans from the case (the one which come pre-installed) it's quiet like a sleeping baby. But whenever i plug them in in the controller things starts to get noisy. I can't rly explain how it sounds, but when i have my headphones on (Steelseries Serbia V2) i can still here the computer fans very cleerly. Is there anything to do about it, or just me who's petty

Best regards

Ehem, sure its not also those jet engines corsair ships with their radiators?

Seriously dump those fans asap and get some actually solidly quiet fans. You shouldn't have to run at 800rpm to have silence.

And make sure you're actually controlling the fan speed on your stock fans for the case through some form of pwm, and not just letting them run full steam.

The hub in the H440 is just a that--a powered fan hub. It's not a splitter and offers no fan control.
