computer wont detect 2nd monitor.

smeek14

I just bought a 2nd monitor.  My computer will not detect it.  My primary monitor is plugged into my graphics card via DVI.  I am attempting to plug my second monitor into my motherboard using VGA.

Connect it to the GPU instead and see if you get signal.

It does not have the proper port.

It does not have the proper port.

In that case, enable the iGPU in your BIOS. Usually it turns itself off when a PCI-E GPU is detected.

Pretty sure if its nvidia, it doesnt like not having everything plugged in via the GPU.
