Yes, you are wrong. There are 50 non-red marbles and 20 red marbles, so you has a 2:5 chance of picking a red one.

The reason why it wouldn't  be 2:7 is because there are not 90 marbles in total, only 70.

Probability is all favorable outcomes out of all possible outcomes. There are, in this case, 20 "good" marbles and 70 possible marbles. So the probability is 2/7. Odds, however, are favorable to unfavorable outcomes, so it would be 2:5.

 

Should I start a math help thread? I kind of want to start a math help thread. Anyone need help with some math?

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

 

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.
