I put one of my SD cards inside a Ziploc bag and I was wondering if ESD from the bag would have harmed the card?

As beeing a removeable device, it is allways threatened by ESD, so it has a strong build in protection.

You are fine.

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil

It's working fine as far as i can tell.

Then why would it have harmed the card :P

no a ziplock bag should not harm the card in anyway, lots of people carry cards that way, but you should invest in a card wallet / carry case, they are cheap and worth it

Yeah I doubt a bag would kill it as SD cards have been known to be found in the ocean or ran though washing machines and still work. I grabbed one of these at a London drugs for like 5$ or something. Way better than keeping them loose or in a bag.KS3LisM.jpg
