So I have an old HP Desktop from 2007 that worked perfectly fine and I wanted to upgrade it. So I purchased a new CPU, GPU, and RAM and installed them. But now when I try to turn it on all I get is a no signal message on the screen and 1 short beep followed by 1 long beep. Apparently these beeps are supposed indicate that there is a memory problem so I took out the new RAM and put the old one back in, but the same thing is still happening. I highly doubt that the RAM slots are broken because it was working perfectly fine before I put in all the new parts and I have already tried clearing the CMOS but that didn't do anything. All help is appreciated and please if you have any ideas about what I need to do to fix it please let me know. Thank you!

Maybe it's the CPU or Gpu... Maybe you can try taking those out and putting back the old one.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.
