Just posted my build on the forum and everyone is tearing me apart because I chose a GTX 960. So I ask you the people of the forum what graphics card should I use? The card I chose was the G1 Gaming 960 so I wish it would be around the same price. I prefer nVidia but I don't really mind AMD. I will be using it to play FPS games and if it matters Render and Edit videos and maybe stream.

Thanks everyone

Do you play football/soccer?

Cause you look like a left-back

Get something from the R9 series, way better value. just get something the same price as the 960 and you are set.

MSI or Sapphire R9 380.

Inno3D and PowerColor are also good choices but MSI and Sapphire should be first. Q

Get what you want, it's your card. Don't let other make your purchases. Is the 380 or 290 better? Arguably. But the 960 is a good card too.

The 290 is better than the 380

Can I ask what graphics card should I go for an upgrade?

Asus A58M-E Mobo

A10-7700k APU

2x4gb 1866 G.Skills RAM

Planning to disable my iGPU to get a GPU. Thinking of a MSI GTX 750 TwinFrzr 1gb DDR5.

Questions

Will the upgrade worth it?

Will the GTX750 do better than my previous iGPU?

Any suggestions are welcome. I'm a newbie at this topic so hoping any response. Thanks!

If I fork out some more will a 970 be better than the 380/290?

I don't like "better", is a truck better than a car? They may be both GPUs but they are apples and oranges. Both will do the job for a good value and do some things better than the other. If I had had the extra cash I would have picked up a 970 because they're more stable than a 390. And with a 1080p 60hz monitor anything over 60fps is a waste so stability is more important to me. You have to find what's important to you.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Something like a r9 380 or 280x will be nice.

Yeap the 970 will be better than the 290/380. Though theoretically, the 290 should perform around the same as the 970 if the 390 can.

In the most recent Mad Max game it does look that way, BUT I cannot say the same for other games. Anyway, if you're thinking about getting a 970, you might wanna look at the 390.
