Hey, I know this is pretty off-topic, but I'm posting this in all the forums so I can get the best build possible. I've been saving for a few months and really looking forward to this, and I'd hate to screw it up. I know since I'm on a 500$ budget I can't get some bad*** quad 4K monitor setup, cooled by liquid nitrogen with the highest end graphics card and processors, but I'm hoping 500 dollars is good enough for some decent gaming. I'm coming from a crappy computer that can't run CS:GO or even something like Terraria, so this is an upgrade for me anyways and I can't wait. Hopefully something is in the price range to run some Triple A high-end games, like "The Witcher 3" and stuff like that. Monitor included, :|. Got a mouse and headphones. Anyways, yeah, throw out some builds, please! Thanks a lot!

"You know, it's funny... we get this a lot. Where people criticize us for focusing really on the high end stuff and the brands that make the most sense at the high end, and they ask us well why is that there's such great value stuff out there on the low end. And the answer is that if [Luke or I] where going to build a 500$ machine we would do [a scrapyard PC] we wouldn't be buying new... Because if you're smart and a good shopper, both [Luke and I] were doing this at the same time, with only 48 hours to turn around all of these deals and like go get them, we ended up with machines that we could easily resell for more than what we paid, and to match [the] performance, buying new from the store would cost at least 50% more... So there you go guys, used hardware good value."

This is a build in $USD, so if you're in a different part of the world then... welp.

I'll be honest, this is my first build for someone else.

i3-4130 + GTX 950 should run most games, if you don't mind getting less than 60 FPS. If you turn down the settings you should get 60 FPS easily. Terraria and CS:GO should run no problem.

Adults are just kids with bigger wallets.

The 50 bucks bump to 550 USD for the 260x to 950 is definitely worth it in my opinion.

As for the monitor at this kind of budget you just want something that works so yeah this is it
