Hey if I get a NAS at home will i be able to access the files on my laptop at school????? is there a way to do that????

Hey there ppolicherla91,

Generally NAS systems are attached to the router or to a switch and if there's internet access from the particular network, they should be accessible too. Depending on the OS that the NAS uses you would access the data through either an application, website or it would be mapped as a local folder on your computer.
A good example would be WD My Cloud NASs as they are very easy to set up and manage. when plugged into the network (the router for example) they can be accessed from within the network as well as over the internet through the WD My Cloud application as well as through the online website app: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=RI8rIL
