Need advice!

I am stuck in a pickle, and I need to know the most reasonable choice. To make a long story short, I am looking to get a 1440p monitor, but I am worried that my 970 will not have enough vram to run games like ARK, and GTA with some AA. But I have been hearing rumors that in future game titles can "stack" VRAM (I am aware that previous titles like GTA have not been programmed to do so). And in regards to ARK, which supports DX12, I still get capped out at my 970's fast 3.5 GB's of VRAM. So the real question is how probable is future game's devs allow this feature. And if so, is a 970 ski worth it for 1140p, or should I buy a 980ti. Thanks.

I'm sure your your graphics card will be sufficient enough to run those games in 1440p with 3.5 gb of vram. You could lower the settings by a bit
