What do i need to start recording gameplay and editing it? Gameplay of Planetside 2, Minecraft, and other games... Could you guys recommend other things i would need like a mic and other stuff. I just really want to see how much it would be to do decent-ish videos...

Software - (editing) invest in Sony Movie Studio if you can (like Sony Vegas)

I would recommend not paying for anything yet and just using Fraps or Bandicam along with Movie Maker or some other free software. If it turns out that you don't like it, that way you can stop without losing anything.

If you mean the pop filter etc, then yes a pop filter is a must for video content. The stand is up to you, however the Snowball comes with a stand as standard.

The Snowball's default stand is alright but if you want to use the pop filter without ghetto rigging it then I do recommend the stand as well.
