mobo - asus p8z77-v lga1155 ddr3 compatible

processor - intel i7 2700k

ram - 8gb samsung 8gb ddr3 1600mhz

gpu - palit nvidia gtx 660 ti 2gb

storage - samsung 250gb ssd for operating system, 1 tb wd hdd

psu - 600 watt fps group 80 plus bronze (obviously not that great but it runs all the components fine)

operating system - windows 10

optical drives - blue ray player/dvd rewriter + dvd re writer/ cd rewriter

if iv left anything out then please say, also included is a 22 inch 1080p monitor iiyama prolite e2273hds

Sell the parts individually. As an entire system, $400 seems right.

at the time when that processor was out the gtx 980 ti was 3 years not thought of...... if thats the case then upgrades are always an option for the buyer

OP would be better off just selling the parts individually, if that's the case. A 2700K and a mid-tier Z77 motherboard will still fetch a decent amount of money. Say, $200 for the CPU and $50 for the motherboard.

So drop it down to £160 for the CPU and £40 for the motherboard.

then im stuck with components that i cant get rid of, wheras more inexperienced people will be looking for a decent starter gaming pc that will run games like bf4 at med to high settings.

That is still a pretty rock solid system. Heck, I would buy it off you if I had the money and lived in the UK. £300-£400 would be a good starting point.
