DirectX12 Release Date

This may seem like a idiotic question but when does DX12 launch? I am not fond of Windows 10 and would prefer to stick with my current OS but I want to use DX12. I want to upgrade only when needed.

It's released with Windows 10 for over 2 months officially. However, there isn't any D 12 content available, we will have to wait a while for Dx 12 games.
