So, i've been gaming on an imac for a while now (i know its bad...) and i recently decided i wanted to upgrade and i've made a list that i've compiled over a few weeks just changing my mind every now and then and i would love feedback. So, i live in the U.S. so yeah usd is the currency; i'm looking to game on this build and get the occasional work done on it. my budget is around 2500 but it may go up or down depending on a few factors. as for monitors i would love 2 or 3 but it may or may not fit in my budget. i already have a nice set of peripherals. I'm upgrading so i can just get more out of the games i play. i play minecraft and middle earth shadow or mordor and elite dangerous and the only reason i don't have more is due to how bad my current setup is in terms of power. I have a part list going http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mF7DRB The budget i would rather lower but eh thats kind of a max threshold. thanks in advance for any feedback :)

overkill on PSU. you dont need that much power. you will not be needing a watercooling for the CPU if you dont intent to OC it. Otherwise it looks quite nice, dont forget to choose a case for it and make sure the case supports the lenght of the GPU.

This one includes a 4k IPS free-sync display, with dual 390s which should do a decent job at 4k without breaking the bank.

any suggestions for a dual moniter or maybe triple with a nvidia card? sorry streetguru but i honestly prefer nvidia's cards. ill change my psu yea

Sadly your selection of monitors with G-sync is rather limited, and they cost more simply due to being G-sync.

And overall 2 390s are going to beat out a 980 where dual GPUs works, and it works well in most of the AAA titles. Nvidia cards might not support DX12 well either, which may put the dual 390s further ahead.

Otherwise aside from the cheapest 1080p IPS displays, there's only 1 IPS G-sync display, at least on PC part picker

1440p 144Hz IPS, G-sync $719

https://pcpartpicker.com/part/acer-monitor-xb270hubprz

same thing, but with free-sync, $569

https://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-mg279q

the second one is still a good monitor however.

With your budget you should be able to fit a solid 4k display or one of the monitors listed about.

also thought about ta downgrade to save abit of money http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6qkv99 just some thoughts

2 390s is a fair bit better than 2 970s.

And unless you're going to overclock that 980 a lot, the fury is a faster card.

Really there's not much reason to go with nvidia for the most part until you get to 980ti territory since it beats out the fury by a fair bit.
