Simple Question, need a simple answer... Does Displayport 1.2 do 1080p at 120hz?

thankyou... im having someone pick me up a DP cable from best buy today... but these damn Internets had me second guessing myself...

DP 1.2 can run 1440p 144Hz I believe, and 4K 60Hz. 1080p 120Hz is a walk in the park for it
