Hey guys!

So once again, I am stumped with my computer but it's a different problem than I've seen before. About a week ago I just started up a game and right before I load into the world, my computer just turns off. I thought it was just a loose power cable so I check everything and boot it but then it turns on for about 4 seconds without displaying anything and then turns off. I re-seated the ram and then it boots but clicks off again. Now when I go to turn it on, it will come on for about 5 seconds and immediately go off and then tries again to turn on on its own.

I have tried re-seating the ram again with no luck and I've tried a different PSU, a different power button, re-seating the CPU, booting with out GPU, starting with out hard drive, unplugging everything except the essentials and now I am stuck even after searching the internet for problems similar but didn't seem to find any.

This is a new computer( about 2 weeks) and I had to just replace the motherboard for broken CPU pins but before this everything was working fine and solid.

Specs -

CPU - I7 4790k

RAM - Corsair Vengeance 16gb(8x8)

PSU - Corsair RM1000w

Motherboard - Gigabyte Z97x-UD3H-BK (Black Edition)

Thanks in advance!

All motherboards with Intel chipsets (goes back to Z77) restart a few times to charge the capacitors after being unplugged. Wait another few seconds and it will POST. If it still has issues, try seeing if anything is shorting the board...otherwise I'm no help lol

Happens to me with my Z97 and Z77 system. I asked a few people and they said what I said.

Okay so i've taken it out of the case and plugged in the bare components running it on the anti static bag it came in and it still does the same thing but it seems like the intervals that it stays on are different every time it reboots. I just tried a new stick of ram that I had and still no luck. You think a short could have killed the board?
