Samsung S24C450B Issue

the source button ( the 4th button actually) doesn't response.. 
i wanted to reset the settings so i get the factory brightness settings, but the source button doesn't work, i need it to select the reset option.
does that mean it's a dead button which means a damaged button? or there's a way to fix it?
also is there's anyway to know the default brightness settings? 
the current brightness is 100% / contrast 75%.
