Mates computer randomly turns off when playing Tera, only started today, previously had no problems.

CPU: AMD A10 6800

Ram: adata 8gb ddr3

GPU: nVidia Geforce GT630

PSU: raidmax RX 400Ae 400W

MOBO: msi A78M-E35

I think it may be an overheating issue, I installed msi afterburner to adjust the GPU fan speeds.

There is no event log when the crash happens.

Any help would be great guys,

Thanks,

Pseudo

You have enough RAM,from what I can see, maybe your CPU/GPU is overheating....I have a friend whose game crashed too,but that was because of the PSU...

I see you have an A10. I'm not sure how the graphics work on that, but i've seen some weird things happen with Nvidia drivers when AMD Video drivers are present on a system.

I've also seen Microcracks in a motherboard, when heated, shut down a computer without warning.

You might want to check on your powerstrip as well. They are notorious for half dieing and leaving so many questions.

There is not much else to go on other than it might be a bad ram stick.

Good Luck, and hopefully this helps!

I'm not an audiophile, I'm just really picky about my music... and my headphones... and my speakers... and my microphone. Other than that, I'm totally not an audiophile.

turn off afterburner and see if the problem persists. I have PrecisionX and it causes stability issues even if I only use it to control fan speed. When I turn it off no problem.
