Windows 8.1 brings many improvements in areas like personalization, Internet Explorer 11, search which is powered by Bing

why do they bother pushing Bing? no matter what they do with it or how much better it gets, Its never going to be anything other than everyone's second choice search engine at best.

I don't understand how anyone developing IE can be proud of the work that they do. 

 

As for 8.1, well the sooner the better I say. I use Windows 8 at home and it's perfectly fine if you don't use the modern UI and install a start button, something like Classic Shell. 

 

Strangely, I do prefer using 8 to 7 now. Probably just because I am use to it now.

No, never ever but i dont like that they are trying to get people to use bing. No matter if bing even gets better then google, i will still use google.

Windows 8.1 will begin rolling out worldwide as a free update for consumers on Windows 8 through the Windows Store.

30 dollar first day DLC for improved stability though.
