i can build a pc that runs mobas at full settings with 300 dollars but with 700 dollars i cant in a laptop? huh? are laptops that bad?

laptops are allways behind when it comes to performance. as they need a battery and they have to be super slim, and carry the screen and all.   its very different.

There's tons out there. Samsung makes a bunch of mid tier laptops with the A8 and A10 APUs and they can handle most modern games. Lenovo has a lot of mid tier models that work well for your needs too and often well under $700. The new Skylake and Broadwell powered laptops don't even need a dedicated gpu anymore, the iGPU is that good. Obviously you won't get Ultra settings at 1080p but it'll run CSGO or a mobaa pretty darn well.

If you want a real gaming laptop without shelling out over a grand you can do what I did and find a used older model. I snagged my GT780DXR for around $800 CAD on ebay a couple years ago. There are constantly Asus G series, Clevo and Sagers popping up. Just nab one from the Sandy Bridge generation with a 570m or 670m and you'll be good to go. It does take a lot of patience to find a good one though.

The best part about the Clevo/MSI models is upgradeability. It is not difficult to swap a new GPU into one down the line. Can be a little pricey though.

The New Machine: Intel 11700K / Strix Z590-A WIFI II / Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz 2x8GB / Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC w/ Bykski WB / x4 1TB SSDs (x2 M.2, x2 2.5) / Corsair 5000D Airflow White / EVGA G6 1000W / Custom Loop CPU & GPU

The Rainbow X58: i7 975 Extreme Edition @4.2GHz, Asus Sabertooth X58, 6x2GB Mushkin Redline DDR3-1600 @2000MHz, SP 256GB Gen3 M.2 w/ Sabrent M.2 to PCI-E, Inno3D GTX 580 x2 SLI w/ Heatkiller waterblocks, Custom loop in NZXT Phantom White, Corsair XR7 360 rad hanging off the rear end, 360 slim rad up top. RGB everywhere.
