Ok, so I've been looking into getting Office, since I will be needing to do a lot of spreadsheet work and Word is pretty standard.

I've used OpenOffice, and it's been fine, but I really want to upgrade to something else and I like the UI of Office more.

So I took to Craigslist as I usually do to see if there were any NIB ones that someone purchased by mistake.
I came across this ad.

Genuine guaranteed

Genuine office 2010 pro plus for $20

Windows OS also available.

free installation if you need it.

Now, it seems rather fishy. Really cheap software. However, could he be using an Enterprise key, and if so, is it fine to do that?
Will I end up having issues later on down the road?

At over 1/2 the price, it's tempting.

Got M$ office 2010 pro plus from there, worked great.

For your payment to the seller on there ^, I'd suggest using a paypal fee calculator to get the amount you'd need to pay so the seller gets the full amount of money for the product ($0.30 + I think 2.9%), that way you can use a normal payment which offers buyer protection whereas what they tell you to do with "send money to friends/family" does not.

or you could just use libreoffice and when need be, just convert to .docx

It's legitimately my favorite over microsoft word, that and no licence crap

https://www.libreoffice.org/

Interesting. I'll definitely keep that in mind, but I'm currently doing mandatory MS classes so I'll just have a better feel for Office.

Yeah, I use Paypal pretty extensively so I know all the little ins and outs

.

Curious, did you have any issues with it once you bought it?

Did you buy from a seller that was pretty established, or just picked the first one on the list?

...these guys aren't just using a key gen and then selling the keys are they?

I can do that for free.

I'd recommend buying from a moderator from there, I had just picked some random seller.

They say that the keys are bought in bulk so they can get a lower price on them, then they sell them individually, though I'd guess they probably sell the same one a few times as they are able to be used more than once.

Either it's the copy of MS office 2010 pro plus that I installed that's incompatible or the key is no longer valid, but I haven't had much success validating my copy after reverting from windows 10 :/
