so i got the hyperx clouds a couple months back and wasn't happy with the usb dongle as there was a static issue so i ordered a 4 pole to 3 pole splitter and an extension, so the splitter finally came in after a month so i wanted to test it out since it was a cheapo Chinese thing, so used my front panel audio and it works fine, sounds good my mic works, so i go to plug it into the mobo and now there a screeching noise, tried even without the splitter and same thing so my mobo audio jack is messed up. what should i do ? could i rma the mobo ? ( kinda dont want this options but i will do it for my ocd) or could i use another one of the jacks on the mobo and get the same thing ?

using the front panel audio is an option but actually one o the last ditch things cause id would have to have a cord coming off the top of my pc down onto my desk, across the desk and into my headphones which would look pretty bad.

That sounds like a feedback loop,  have you done anything to solve the problem yourself?
