So I went to best buy to check out the keyboards on display to see which switches I would like. To my surprise, I actually really liked how the Blackwidow Chroma switches felt. I hated the Cosair k65 cherry mx reds for some reason. I thought I would like those but they just seem so normal. Like if I'm spending that much I want to clearly tell the difference. Anyways, they didn't have a G710+ out so I asked if I could try one out and to no surprise of my own I was denied. So I basically have two questions. If I liked the Blackwidow switches would the G710+ be a good pick as well? and. Is there any place that I could go to try out other mech keyboards (mainly the G710+)?

 

NOTE: I am also taking into consideration that I already have the Deathadder 2013 mouse and I would like have my keyboard match. This does give a pretty big advantage to the Blackwidow. However, I am still seriously considering other boards since I could just sell the mouse and buy one to go with the new keyboard. I know its stupid but I either have OCD or I'm not alone....

Depends, the g710s come in either browns or blues and the blackwidow switches are closer to blues

If the blackwidow had razer green switches then it would be like a logitech g710 (non +), but if it had razer orange switches then it would be like the g710+. You can tell which in that the razer green/cherry mx blue switches have an audible click, but the razer oranges/mx browns have an inaudible click.

I would go for the g710+ because of the brown switches are a bit quieter but still has that satisfying click. You can however get the razor stealth which in the end becomes a decision of design. If i did not buy my corsair k95 i would have gotten the g710+ without hesitation. Not sure if theres a frys electronics near you or best buy, but those places usually have them on shelf to be tested.

Ooo this one is pretty nice. Would this be better quality than the ever so hated Blackwidow?
