DISK AT 100% HELP!

Go to solution Solved by don_svetlio,

This is Windows 8.1/10 - it does that (scanning, defragmenting, spying) occasionally for a few minutes and stops. Perfectly normal

Hi! Here's a snippet of my task manager: post-218513-0-68233300-1443450114.png It has happened before and makes my laptop really slow :( As I'm writing this, the disk usage is very erratic and is going up and down from 20% to 100%. It has now stopped tho :) This problem doesn't occur when I'm in a different account (where almost everything is disabled.) As for this incident, it occurred when I had logged in into my personal account. Maybe its because its reading all the things enabled for startup? Any thoughts on why it is doing so?

I have the same problem with my laptop, it takes 10 minutes to boot up, 5 minutes to turn on chrome after booting. It's probably broken. The speeds also couldn't exceed 3 mb/s copying files. And I have i5 4200U and GT750M GPU on that laptop which isn't the cheapest one out there.

Theres a small chance just installing it again will fix, but if it does happen again, you need a new Drive or MOBO
