Elite: Dangerous

So... Without thinking I saw this top selling game on steam for $26! It was 40% off at the time. It's called Elite: Dangerous, seems like a good game, images seem good, so without thinking, i bought the game.

 

Straightforward Question: So, I'm downloading this game ATM. Is this game worth it? Am I gonna regret it? Is it amazing?

Normally I'd tell you ways up but I haven't played it in half a year or something.

Back then it was Meh, not much to do.

But if it's the same now I don't know, I do know a expansion is coming.

The expansion looks interesting at least but I'm not to keen on pay 50$/40€ just so I can land on planets that I can't fully explore.

I've never played it but you should include the option of being completely overwhelmed in the poll, as that would be my answer.
Like I've said I've never played it,, but I know it would be very overwhelming for me.

Ive played it, its amazing

theres 3 main things to do:

 

-exploration

-trading

-and bounty hunting/fighting for your power

 

the graphics are beautiful, especially black holes in a nebula are beautiful, so collorfull

it has one of the best sound engines, headphones recommended

realistic physics , if you have a joystick, use it

 

the whole map has 400 billion star sistems

first watch some beginner guides on youtube, so you know what to do

 

 

and its getting planetary exploration and base building(?) !!

I just heard not so great things about it. IRC there was also a little shin dig about the graphical fidelity being lowered for PC console parity.
