Wait for 9XXX series. Also get a 4670K, and if you need more cores get a 8350.

Well the editing is not the hard core editing. its like the video rendering stuff, you know "YouTube"

Wait for 9xxx series. Not too long to go

Wait Wait Wait. When you mean 9xxx. you mean graphics cards right? if so. If I was to get it, is getting a Intel CPU better with it or AMD with 9xxx? Im trying to build something that doesnt like "kill your power bill."

It's more about waiting for the series to come out and lowering the price of everything that's already out than actually buying one.

What program are you using to edit and render videos?

How heavy is your editing? Will you be editing 1080p+ content or be using a lot of effects?

Is this purely amateur work or does the quality actually matter. In that case, an IPS panel with better color reproduction would be essential instead of a 144 hz TN panel with bad colors. Multiple displays would also be recommended for ease of editing and overall productivity.

So you went ahead and already purchased some parts?

Ah alright. I'm still not sure how heavy your editing is. Are you just editing game footage? How long would the videos be?

I reckon it's overkill if you're just doing short videos/light editing though. If what you're not applying lots of effects or rendering out long footage or footage with higher res than 1080p, 8GB of ram and a 4670k would be enough.

Ahh, alright. My suggestion was not overkill. A 4770k and 16GB ram will help render videos more quickly.
