CPU cooler on a GPU? Don't do that.

Not really. Its pretty easy to do with the new NZXT bracket but not as effective as a well done full loop.

You'll probably get better temps out of a custom loop but depends on your rad space

The Hydro accelerator is pretty good, i myself use a big air cooler wiht big heat pipes for my hd 7950 highest temps  are around 65C.

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K 4,6GHZ OC MB: MSI Mpower z77  RAM: Kingston Genesis 1600Mhz CL9 16GB

GPU: ASUS R9 290 Direct CUII  PSU: Corsair AX 860
