Overclocking Using the ASRock Z97 BIOS

Arvizal

Hi everyone,

So there's an option in the ASRock Z97 UEFI which is called "Load Optimized CPU OC Setting", which I'm assuming is a automatic overclock. I have an i5 4690K, and a Hyper 212X CPU cooler. I'm planning on getting to 4.4GHz on the CPU, but I'm okay with anywhere from 4.0 - 4.4GHz. I was wondering if using the "automatic" OC was safe? Or should I be doing OCing manually? I haven't ever OC'd myself, but I've done my research on it.

Thanks!

Follow the devils canyon overclocking guide on the LTT youtube channel.  Auto OC's typically push more voltage than necessary through your chip.
