Hi all,

I recently made an account at codeacademy.com because I want to learn a programming language (I'm starting with Python) however it seems to be entirely in Spanish, and gets translated to English via google chrome. While the translation is able to get things more or less understandable, having never coded before, I'd much rather have it natively in English. When going to codeacademy.com I am directed to codeacademy.com/es/learn. Changing this to codeacademy.com/en/learn does make the home page appear in English, but all lessons are still in Spanish, regardless of the /es or /en for the language in the url. Help please?

*Edit* Forgot to mention, even changing the language on the homepage in the bottom right does not fix the issue

Python is an OK language. Normally you should start with HTML/CSS before python since it's often used in web development. Python is a scripting language that generally works with other languages. Not by itself.

I have no idea about the language thing though. Settings? Google?

  • 3 months later...

So what you want to do is: on the top right of the web page you should see a round circle thing, click on it and it should bring down a drop down menu, second choice from the top right click. This will take you to your account preferences. 5th box from the top you should see  " referred language" change it to english. And that should work hopefully, cheers  ;)
